Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the western in an excellent game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that players bet with other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable people winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make hasty selections.

It is also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with just a tiny amount of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
