NL Holdem Poker- Who is Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 where he loved playing different card games at a young age. He discovered himself becoming very aggressive in these particular card games while playing his dad. After finishing Sr. High school, Howard decided to place college on hold for a little bit and moved away to New York to participate in some serious chess. While competing in chess, he was introduced to a poker game going on in the rear of the room. Howard’s initial two years were rough as he would play countless hours and lose most times. He made some additional money by being an runner for the poker players. He judged he could improve his game by balancing his life away from poker. He brought about an effort to get more rest and concentrate more on poker.
The actual advancement in his game happened when he began gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the the most favorable gamblers would often compete against each other. He had access into some of the foremost minds in chess. With their help, Howard Lederer would tweak his logical thinking abilities. Howard applied these strategy concepts to the game of No-Limit texas hold’em.
He also assisted his sibling Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a superb student of poker as she would consistently be asking questions about the right way to make the correct decision. He told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and compete in the WSOP tournaments. She is one of the strongest female players the poker world has ever seen. Howard headed to Sin City in 1993 and participated in money games for the following 10 years. When the World Poker Tournament grew in popularity, he made the decision to play more tournaments.
