No Joke, huge amounts of people are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "great players" of poker. Although "nice" is associated with their names when you are playing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his tourney winnings added up to more than $4.4 million and he attained two highly respected awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to speak with his admirers about how they could advance their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an instructional poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the most active players in professional poker and from 2000 and Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in well over one hundred competitions. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are just about six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured 5 WSOP titles with two of his successes happening in 2003. Chris has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to toss cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tourney winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
