Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer saying "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a sum equal to the original bet. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for two pairs
• three to one for three of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
